Terms & Conditions

Please read these product terms and conditions carefully as they set out the terms under which blindzonline.co.uk, makes the products available to you ("Product Terms"). You must read and agree with our terms and conditions before buying online or over the phone. When buying goods from our website you enter an agreement with blindzonline.co.uk, Kemp House 152-160 City Road, London EC1V 2NX trading as blindzonline.co.uk. The agreement will be concluded when you place the order.

1. Our Products:

a) Descriptions and photography

The products we sell are either photographed or digitally produced and are accurately displayed on the website, however, due to different types, styles and settings of computer monitors shading and colour may appear differently to the exact colour of the blind that you will receive. Due to this we strongly advise that you request a free sample before placing your order to ensure that you are happy with the colour and also quality before ordering as we cannot be held responsible for incorrect colour matches. Whilst every attempt will be made by blindzonline.co.uk to ensure that the goods sold and delivered match in every respect any sample or description shown or sent to you, any minor or immaterial variation, change in colour or pattern between the sample or description and the goods delivered shall not entitle you to reject the goods nor to claim any compensation for such variation or change.

b) Measurements

All of the goods we sell are made according to your sizes. It is your responsibility to take the correct measurements of your window, or track. If you are unsure about any products or how to measure please call our customer services team for help before ordering or consult the online measuring guide. You must check the product details and measurements of the goods before placing your order online and are responsible for checking the order via the email confirmation. We cannot accept returns or refund the money if you have given us incorrect measurements as we will not be able to resell the goods as they are made to measure.

Please note: All order confirmations are sent automatically and can go into your spam or junk folder so please check these after placing your order if you have not received a confirmation. If you do not have a confirmation, please email or call our sales team and they will be happy to re-send an order confirmation to allow you to check the sizes that have been entered. Due to the made to measure nature it is crucial that you check your confirmation, and we are made aware within 24 hours of placing the order of any changes. Any notification after this period may mean we cannot guarantee changing your sizes.

c) Made to measure products

Made to measure products are custom made to your precise requirements. Our products are only suitable for you, to your exact requirements and therefore cannot be cancelled or returned. Because of this it is extremely important that you are sure about the product that you want and also the size you require. We advise that you take advantage of our free sample service before placing an order, blindzonline.co.uk cannot be held responsible if you dislike the colour or the general quality of the product. We strongly recommend that you double check your order to ensure that the products ordered and measurements taken are correct. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please also see our Measure Right Cover(g) below.

d) Tolerance Please note that fabric is cut by highly skilled professionals who will be as accurate as possible within a variance of +/- 5-8m. We will not replace the order if the sizes are within this tolerance limit and you will not be entitled to reject the goods. We must have a tolerance in place due to the machinery used by our professionals. The blades used to cut materials and wooden slats can cause this intolerance both bigger and smaller. We will do everything we can to manufacture your blind to your made to measure sizes but if your blind is with in this tolerance it cannot be rejected.

e) Fabric

Most fabrics are dyed and therefore each batch can vary slightly in shade. Due to colour variations between product batches we cannot guarantee shade matching for previous orders, in addition the sample despatched to you may also be slightly different in shade to the eventual order received. Due to the print design of some pattern fabrics it may be that the sample despatched does not show the full range of colours or pattern design, if you are in any doubt as to the precise nature of the fabric you are advised to call our customer services team for further advice.

f) Child Safety

All our products are child safe in guidance with the EN1320 statement. You are also able to purchase blinds that are 'safe by design' meaning wands on vertical blinds and spring loaded roller blinds please email us direct for these products. All vertical blinds will be made with a control length of 1m if you need controls longer than 1m please get in contact with our sales team so they can help advise further on the options available to you.

g) MeasureShield cover

  1. MeasureShield cover can be added to your order for an additional 10% of the product cost at the checkout.
  2. The policy covers mis-measurements of blinds that you have taken the cover out on.
  3. If you need a replacement blind due to a mis-measurement, you must return the incorrectly measured blind to Blindzonline at your own cost.
  4. The replacement blind can only have its width and drop size changed; all other specifications such as the product, material, controls, etc., must remain the same.
  5. If the cost of the replacement blind is higher, you will need to pay the difference between the originally purchased blind and the replacement.
  6. No refund will be given if the sizes of the replacement blind are smaller than the originally purchased blind.
  7. MeasureShield cover only applies to the blind it was purchased for; it does not cover other blinds in the same order.
  8. Activating the MeasureShield service incurs an additional delivery charge of £8.50 for the replacement blind.
  9. Any necessary payments, including the delivery charge, must be made before the remakes are processed.
  10. MeasureShield cover can only be used for blinds on the order where it was purchased; a new MeasureShield cover must be added for any additional orders.
  11. MeasureShield cover must be activated within 14 days of receiving the delivery of your order.
  12. If the original fabric is out of stock when you activate the MeasureShield cover, you may need to wait for the stock to become available. If you can't wait, you will be refunded the amount paid for MeasureShield but not the blind cost.
  13. MeasureShield cover cannot be added after the order is placed; it must be selected at the checkout when placing the original order.
  14. Only one claim can be made on the MeasureShield policy, and it does not cover incorrect measurements provided for the replacement blind.

 

2. Order processing and our contract:

a) Order cancellation or amendments

When ordering your goods you are agreeing to a legal binding contract. According to The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, made to measure goods, e.g. blinds are excluded from this legislation and the 7 day cancellation rights do not apply. Cancellations are still possible and a full refund will be issued as long as products or parts of them have not been made or ordered. In the event that your goods have already been made  or material ordered we are unable to refund your money. Telephone or email us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel or change an order and we can check if the order has gone into production. We strongly advise that you check the email confirmation of your order to ensure that you have placed the order correctly.

3. Prices:

The price you will pay is the price shown at the checkout and on your confirmation email, these prices are inclusive of VAT and the total price shown is the price you will pay. (Deliveries to certain areas are subject to extra charges after an order has been placed, e.g. Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands, we will inform you of the extra charge from the carrier as soon as possible and you have the option to cancel the order if the extra charge is not accepted.) On receipt of your confirmation email check to ensure you are completely happy with the price of the goods ordered.

4. Payment

When ordering products from the blindzonline.co.uk website we can only process your order when the goods ordered have been paid for in full by credit or debit card. You can pay on-line with all major credit cards, debit cards, PayPal or Clearpay. Your payment card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure. Authority for payment must be given at the time of order. You will be charged for items at the point of order. Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant items. We accept internet orders only from Web browsers that permit communication through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, for example, 3.0 version or higher of Explorer and versions 3.02 or higher of Netscape. This means you cannot inadvertently place an order through an unsecured connection.

5. Acceptance

We have the right to cancel your order if:
1) We have insufficient stock to make and deliver the goods ordered.
2) If you have ordered from an island or country where we do not deliver.
3) The goods ordered unbeknown to us have been discontinued.
4) A pricing error or typing error has occurred due to system failure within our database or website.

If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will notify you as soon as possible. No discounts or compensation can be offered under these unforeseen circumstances.

Only one coupon per person. Coupons cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupons, offers or sale items on site.

No discounts or coupons can be applied to our Softshade Day & Night Blinds, Motorised Blinds or slats only.

6. Delivery of your goods

We specify an estimated delivery time on the landing page of each product, please note that if we specify 7 days it means 7 working days from the moment payment reached our bank account (usually within 24 hours). The specified delivery terms do not apply during busy times of the year, e.g. bank holidays and the Christmas period. A more specific delivery date is available from the order tracking login once the order has been placed. All deliveries will be made to you by a third-party courier. We do our best to secure delivery within the period quoted but shall not be liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery or arising out of any cause beyond our control. We advise you not to book a fitter to install a product until the order has been delivered and that you have checked that there are no defects and that all parts are complete. Most order are dispatched and delivered by UPS, Tuffnells and DX although we reserve the right to use alternative courier companies when necessary.

Delivery is currently charged at £8.50 for orders under £175.00 for UK mainland orders. Deliveries to certain areas will incur a higher delivery charge, this will be worked out at the checkout when putting your postal code into the website. Blindzonline will not ship to overseas locations.

COVID-19 DELIVERY. Couriers are still operating a contactless delivery where they will not ask you to sign for the parcel but take a picture of it when being delivered safely to someone or a picture of the blind being left in a safe place. If the driver is unable to take a picture, they will mark the parcel as delivered and sign for the product. The tracking from the drivers GPS the show them in the area should there be any discretion that the parcel has not been delivered.

Blindzonline now offer a same day dispatch £10 per order (Monday- Friday) on selected blinds if ordered before 930am the blinds are then sent on a two-day courier. These are called fast dispatch blinds at the checkout and once the order is placed you will be unable to change the sizes so, please check your sizes correctly before committing to your order. We will not be held responsible for any miss types. If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will inform you over email making you aware of this. Fast dispatch is not guaranteed for acts outside of our control. We reserve the right to withdraw this service at any time.

Please note:

In the unlikely event that goods are lost in transit, please inform us of non-receipt after the due delivery date has passed. If goods have been marked as “left in a safe place” but you cannot find them please check with neighbours or in any outbuildings first. As a last resort, if you feel that they may even have been taken from the place left, please inform the police that you feel they may have been stolen and provide us with a crime reference number.

In either case, refunds will not be issued, but we will remake the same order and despatch it as soon as possible.

7. Defective and damaged goods

All blindzonline.co.uk products are rigorously quality checked before dispatch but in the unlikely event that you experience any problems please e-mail us at sales@blindzonline.co.uk with a photo so we can look into this and arrange a replacement. You have 7 days following receipt of your goods to report any damaged or defective goods due to manufacturing, or damage caused while being in the delivery process. We will deal with your queries promptly and if necessary arrange for a like for like replacement to be sent and the damaged goods to be collected. We reserve the right to ask for digital pictures with regards to the issues reported or to ask for the product to be returned to us for inspection. This does not affect your statutory rights.

8. Out of stock items

Due to current global supply chain issues, we are being made aware of the materials and products that are out of stock. When we are made aware we are marking the product as out of stock on the website so this will show meaning that customers are unable to order the product. If your order has been placed and we are made aware that the materials are out of stock for more than you expected delivery time we will send an email notification. If the product is out of stock, we will give you an option to cancel, re select a fabric or of course wait for the product to come back in stock. If there are other blinds on your order and they are a different product we will process the products that are in stock until we have heard from you otherwise. If you have several same products on the order, we will place the whole order on hold until we have had confirmation from you of how you wish to proceed. Please rest assured we are working as hard as we can to enable the smooth process of your order and to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible but with uk courier issues and international flight delays since the COVID-19 pandemic some issues are currently unavoidable.

9. Guarantee

blindzonline.co.uk offer a 12 month manufacturer's guarantee on manufacturing faults. In addition we offer a limited guarantee for a further two years making a total of 3 years. We do not offer refunds. We reserve the right to either replace or repair the product and it may be necessary to return the goods to us for inspection prior to a replacement product being despatched. This does not affect your statutory rights.

10. General

These Product Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts. If any of these Product Terms is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Product Terms which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent. We will never pass your details on to any third party without your express permission. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us in the future.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

address
phone number
email address

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.

We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.
